There are two ways to manage access to a TASK™ session
- Closed session: Recommended if you have a list of candidate emails, names, and surnames. Emails are sent from the TASK™ platform offering a streamlined experience for candidates.
- Open session: Generates an access code, which must be shared by the administrator. Candidates create their own accounts and manually enter the code.
Closed session (default) - Inviting candidates
You can prepare your candidate list in four ways:
- CSV file upload (recommended for large sessions)
- Search in the database (for candidates who have been invited to TASK™ before)
- Copy / Paste from Excel
- Manual addition
CSV file upload
Recommended for sessions with more than 500 candidates.
- Download a CSV template from the platform. If you include metadata (cohort, tags, etc.), make sure it matches the platform terminology exactly.
- Select your completed CSV file to upload.
- Confirm the list of candidates.
- Click Add to session and confirm to finalize.
Search in the database & Reinvite candidates
You can invite candidates who have previously participated in TASK, by A) selecting individual candidates (Select candidate) or B) choosing a group of candidates from another session (Select session) for a bulk reinvite.
A - Select individual candidates
- Search for specific candidates by name or filter as needed.
- Select candidates individually or click Select all.
- Click Add to session to include them in your current session.
B - Reinvite a group of students per their assessment status
Useful if you want to re-invite, for example, all students who didn't participate in a previous session.
- Choose the session from which you want to reinvite candidates.
- Confirm that the number of participants is correct.
- Match the session language to the original invitation.
- Select candidate statuses for reinvitation (you can select multiple).
- Click Add to session and confirm.
A verification page will be shown in both cases. Click "Invite candidates" to confirm.
Copy / Paste from Excel
Recommended for sessions with fewer than 500 candidates.
- Prepare a spreadsheet with columns in the correct order: Email, Last name, First name, Cohort.
- Select all rows in your spreadsheet.
- Click the first cell on the TASK platform and paste the data.
- Confirm the list of candidates.
- Click Add to session and confirm.
Manual addition
You can add candidates directly in the platform if needed.
- Type their email, last name, and first name in the table. Click + to confirm each entry.
- Make sure all candidates are selected.
- Click Add to session to finalize invitations.
Open session – Share a session code
For candidates to join without direct invitations:
- Enable the Open session toggle when creating a session.
- Copy the session code and keep it for sharing.
- Set the maximum number of candidates allowed.
- Share the code and the sign-up link (task.sulitest.org) with candidates.
