Yes—moderators and administrators can extend a session’s deadline as long as the session has not ended yet.
If the deadline has already passed, the session can no longer be reopened, but an alternative solution is available (see below).
What you need to know before extending a deadline
- You can update the session’s end date only while the session is still active.
- A session cannot exceed 30 days from its start date, even when extended. Learn more about our session length rationale
- Candidates who have not yet completed the assessment will automatically be notified when the deadline is extended.
- Candidates who have already completed the assessment will receive their results only when the session ends, meaning deadline extensions will delay result availability.
Step-by-step instructions
- Log in to your moderator or admin account.
- In the top menu, click Sessions.
- Select the session name you want to edit.
- Click Edit.
- Update the end date.
- Click Save to confirm your changes.
If the session has already ended
If the deadline has passed and the session is closed, you cannot reopen it.
However, you can still allow candidates to complete TASK by following this alternative:
- Create a new session.
- Use the Re-invite candidates feature to add candidates who did not complete the previous session.
- Select the statuses:
- Not started
- Invited
- Abandoned (optional, depending on your preference)
You can find detailed instructions here.
This will invite eligible candidates to the new session without requiring you to reupload data.
